Edwin was founded in 1947 by Yonehachi Tsunemi in Tokyo, its name coined by rearranging the letters of ‘denim’ with an upside-down ‘m’. From pioneering the stone-wash finish to weaving its trademark red selvedge on vintage Toyoda looms, the brand still channels over seventy-five years of Japanese denim craft into pieces made to be worn hard and kept for years.
